Dear Little Light
Dear Little Light,
I see you there, deep inside of me trying to burn bright for the whole world to see. But it’s hard. Because you’re so small, and anytime you start to burn brighter I feel like I need to protect you, shield you, cover you because it seems a brisk winter wind could distinguish you in an instant. But your source is indistinguishable. He’s strong. He’s power. He’s the God of the Universe. He’s put you deep in my soul to help a hurting world with hurting people who need you. Shine bright, little light. And if the wind of shame or insufficiency tries to blow you out, hold tighter to your source. He’s living inside of you, there all the time, even when you can’t feel his warmth. If all you can do is flicker today, little light, do that. For in our weakness we find his strength. Shine how you can today without condemnation of feeling you should be brighter. Your flicker can turn into a steady flame and that steady flame can grow into an illuminating fire. You are where you are, and our Great Source will meet you there. Even if you just flickering. I see you.
Love,
Jen
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Thank you, I was discouraged and tried to read before starting the day . I ran into your writting as I was trying to research events after Christ death and read about the stone rolled away and accidentally ran into your web site. Thank you and God bless you. I got very encouraged to put on Jesus and face the day. Bless you.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! I got quite overwhelmed this spring teaching during COVID, but am so appreciative of your comment. I’m so glad the article was helpful to you!

I read your article from the Bible Study app. on Hesed love. Your topic, and writing were refreshing and new. I felt led to visit your website. I am SO glad I did. What a beautiful website. Visually/aesthetically it is a treat! However, the real beauty seems to be your heart for Jesus and for others. You can hear your love of Truth (even the ugly truths!) in all that you say. Praise God for you, and blessings to you on your healing journey! It is a narrow road that few go on, but oh the rewards! Bless you, Jen. Thanks for showing up and being you (the real you)! You are beyond refreshing. ❤️Hollie
